DE HERDER (the shepherd) patiently walks the fields in search of the best grazing for his flock. Drawing inspiration from the ancient practice, we create our red blend from select parcels of carefully curated vineyards located in the Cape and coastal regions of South Africa, to bring you a full-bodied and expressive red blend. Proudly producted on our Kleinood farm, Stellenbosch.

De herder has a medium ruby color. On the nose, sour cherry is followed by black berry. Hints of wet gravel are followed by thyme, black pepper, vanilla and cigar box. On the palate the entry is sweet with round velvety tannins. A youthful freshness shows fruit following from the nose. The medium bodiedweight on the palate gives way to sweet spice and a fruitful finish leaving you with a taste for more.
